My stall at Kinross Sunday Market Nice packaging, shame the USB flash drive is missing - presumed stolen! And another space where a buckle should be placed!

Sunday sees me selling hardware, consumables, paper and other computer stuff at Kinross Sunday Market.

Today was a bad one for many reasons…

  • The closure of a carriageway on the Forth Road Bridge is seriously hurting business
  • Aforementioned reason is resulting in takings being low
  • At a time when the market is quiet, some other casual traders are turning up and ruining it for us regulars
  • In the morning some thieving bas*&$ds stole some stuff while I was serving another customer

I’d seen them “looking” at the drive and even returning it, but it was only after closer inspection that I realised the packaging wasn’t quite right! There was a big void where there should have been a USB flash drive. The picture above shows the empty packaging. They also tried to do the same with a USB hub but thanksfully were scuppered by the packaging being heat sealed.

Poor Roy of Eurobelts, who is directly opposite me, also lost a belt buckle to these f*&$ers: a nice Scottish Rampart Lion. It should be sitting in the middle of the picture, but like my poor flash drive there is only a void where it once existed!

Can’t really complain too much since the rate of theft is pretty low at Kinross compared with other markets. However, these idiots just don’t seem to realise, or maybe they just don’t care, that they aren’t stealing from some big multi-national who can afford to take the loss. Stealing from us poor small guys real causes us pain.

I’ve tried banging my head as per the Stress Reduction Kit instruction, but I now seem to have a migraine!

To say I’m not a happy camper would be an understatement :-(.
