Following on from my last post, there are a few open e-petitions that you may wish to sign to show your support for our brave Gurkha “soldier citizens”.
Now get your ass over to these petitions and put your name to them. Show these morally devoid politicians that the rest of society wishes these brave soldiers be shown the respect they have earned.
I cannae believe the Labour Government and the Tory opposition’s views on the Gurkha soldiers who served in our armed forces before 1997, but who aren’t good enough to be citizens of the UK. This is a complete disgrace and should be fixed NOW!
Gordon Brown presented some technicality during PMQs, that made a big deal of 1997 when the Gurkhas moved from Hong Kong to the UK after Hong Kong was handed back to China, or some bullshit along those lines. This is a moral argument Mr B, not some technicality to squirm away from the nation’s moral duty. Now is the time to honour those who would have given their life for our country. Yet another example of the morally devoid / corrupt government IMHO - scumbags!
“Y’know”, said the Scotsman, “I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow there’s a little bar called McTavish’s. Now, the landlord there goes out of his way for the locals so much that when you buy four drinks he will buy the fifth drink for you.”
“Well,” said the Englishman, “at my local, The Red Lion, the barman there will buy you your third drink after you buy the first two.”
“Ahhhhh, that’s nothing,” said the Irishman. “Back home in Dublin there’s Ryan’s Bar. Now the moment you set foot in the place they’ll buy you a drink, then another, all the drinks you like. Then when you’ve had enough drinks they’ll take you upstairs and see that you get laid. All on the house.”
The Englishman and Scotsman immediately scorn the Irishman’s claims. But he swears every word is true.
“Well,” asked the Englishman, “did this actually happen to you?”
“Not me meself, personally, no,” said the Irishman. “But it did happen to me sister….”
